Italy says it will file a complaint with UEFA over the Italian anthem booing during the draws against Spain and Croatia.

Article from Football Italia:

Italy have announced they will lodge an official complaint to UEFA after their national anthem was jeered against Spain and Croatia.

“I will tell the FIGC to ask UEFA for significant sanctions against these fans who jeer the Italian anthem,” said CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) President Gianni Petrucci.

“It’s the second time this has happened after the opening match against Spain. We cannot continue like this.”

There were considerably more Croatian supporters than Italian in Poznan, where the two teams drew 1-1 in Euro 2012 Group C.

Play also had to be halted twice as Croatian fans threw flares and smokebombs on to the pitch.
